Course Overview:

Cambridge International AS and A Level Psychology students acquire a more rigorous understanding of the content by investigating how psychology is practiced. Learners will encounter relevant research as part of their studies which offers insight into how psychology has been employed, leading to a greater knowledge of major approaches, research techniques, issues and debates.

The syllabus covers the four main aspects of psychology which can be categorized as biological, cognition, learning, and social. Furthermore, research into abnormality, consumer behavior, health, and organizations are also a substantial proportion of the course.

The predominant aims of the AS and A Level Psychology course are to enable students to:

  • introduce psychological ideas, theories, and analyse research findings
  • investigate and comprehend the link between psychological results and daily life
  • develop their skills in investigation, evaluation, application and interpretation
  • learn about ethical concerns in psychology, the major one being the morality and ethical concerns regarding the conduction of psychological research
  • raise sympathy towards societal, and cultural diversity
  • improve communication skills, by using the right terminology.

  • a reliable internet connection
  • web camera.

Course Outcome:A level in Mathematics. Successful completion of the exam is required.

Assessment Information: The examination fee is not included in the course fee paid to International Well Rounded Education. Students are required to arrange and pay for the examinations themselves, however support and guidance will be available with regards to finding exam centers.
